Metropolitan Cathedral Organist Richard Lea presents Modest Mussorgsky’s Pictures at an Exhibition. Written in 1874 the composition is a musical depiction of a tour of an exhibition of works by architect and painter Viktor Hartmann.

Originally a piano suite, the work has become widely known through orchestrations and arrangements. The performance will also include ‘pictures’ by Debussy (La cathédrale engloutie) Guillou (Saga VI Icarus) and Vierne (Naiades & Claire de Lune).
