Our Cathedral depends greatly on volunteer helpers in many areas of our mission: without their tireless support we simply couldn’t provide the various services and events that our community and the wider city benefits from. We remain deeply grateful for their dedication.
Would you like to join us? We’d love to talk to you about the many roles our volunteers can help with, from tour guides to those who serve in the Cathedral and the Crypt masses. Maybe you’d like to become a reader at our services, or perhaps you have a keen interest in textiles, and would relish the opportunity to join our thriving art studio.
Our volunteers tell us that becoming part of our extended family is fun, uplifting and immensely rewarding. So why not come and join us!
As well as these roles, the Friends of the Cathedral support us in a myriad of ways throughout the year, by maintaining and improving the fabric, artefacts, art works, exhibitions, music and facilities of the Cathedral. As well as this, they have a rich and varied social program and are always keen to hear from new members.
All of the departments listed would be delighted to talk to you, should you feel you have the time to commit to helping us – and it needn’t be a huge commitment. If you have a general enquiry or would like more information please email or phone us 0151 709 9222 (ext 201).
