Coronavirus Statement – 20th March 2020 Posted on Friday 20 March 2020

As we come to the end of a difficult and challenging week, we wanted to write to let you know more about our plans to support our community.

As you know from earlier communications all public Masses have been suspended until further notice. This Sunday we will be broadcasting the 9am Mass from the Cathedral. This will be a completely private Mass with no members of the public present. You can watch live at 9am at www.facebook.com/liverpoolmetrocathedral and for those that do not have a facebook account you can watch from 11am at https://m.youtube.com/channel/UCOiDR9mRmfnAu05Yg3ifyMw.

We think it is vital that we maintain contact and offer support to the most vulnerable in our community. If you know of anyone who would like to receive a phone call – especially if they are self-isolating or on their own – please do email us with details and we can arrange a regular call to them.

We would also like to send out cards to let people know that they are being thought of. Please email us with details of individuals who may like to receive a card, so we can make sure this happens.  It is important that members of our community feel valued and cared for.

We are compiling a list of volunteers who may be able to support members of the Cathedral community, or those who are self-isolating. If you think you may be able to help, please email us.

In addition, there will be a number of charitable initiatives set up around the city to support those most in need. We will share these via our website and social media channels in the coming days and weeks.

Do look after yourselves, look after each other, and keep the Cathedral community in your prayers.
