The Friends of Cathedral Music – a charity which supports cathedral and church choirs – is celebrating its 60th birthday this year and they have a weekend of activities planned in Liverpool.
On Friday 7 October members will attend Evening Prayer at the Metropolitan Cathedral followed by a concert by The Sixteen. Other events taking place over the weekend include a Diamond Jubilee Dinner in the Lutyens Crypt, a civic reception at the Town Hall and a special evensong at Liverpool Cathedral, featuring combined choirs from both Cathedrals.
Over its history, FCM has generously donated £40,000 to the Metropolitan Cathedral so we are delighted to be able to play a part in their anniversary. Many of the weekend’s events are open to the general public. Please see their website for more details.
