Lent begins
During Lent there will be two periods of Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament weekly for quiet prayer in the Blessed Sacrament Chapel. The regular Friday period from 4pm and also on Saturday mornings following 9am Mass until 10.30am. There will also be Stations of the Cross on the Fridays of Lent following the 12.15pm Mass in the Crypt.
Would you like to join some of the priests and staff in taking part in the Cathedral Big Lent Walk to support the work of Cafod. The challenge is to walk, run, or stroll 200 km over 40 days, helping communities around the world access clean water. (5km a day). If 100 people take part and each donated or raised £20 or more we would be able to raise at least £2,000 for these projects.
You can record your kilometres on our weekly tracker form, which opens on 18 February. It is quick to use and allows us to see the progress of the cathedral team throughout Lent. You can start from next Wednesday and register on the link on the website or the link on the newsletter next week.
