Latest news from Hope+ Food bank Posted on Friday 12 August 2016

Since launching four years ago, Hope+ Food Bank have provided over 400,000 meals to individuals in and around Liverpool.  In partnership with both of Liverpool’s Cathedrals, along with churches in and around the city, they carry out vital work in the community.

We have recently received a new bulletin from Hope+ Project Manger, Nadine Daniel, which outlined some key challenges that they are facing over the summer months.

Hope+ are currently experiencing an extremely busy period. They are regularly helping twice the weekly national average number of people at the sessions held at St Margaret of Antioch and St Vincent’s. Recently, they narrowly avoided having to close a session due to low numbers of important food items such as pasta, tinned tomatoes, fish, and baked beans.

Along with food staples, they are also in desperate need of some toiletry items, including size four and five nappies and sanitary towels.

The team at Hope+ carry out some truly wonderful work in our community but they need your support to continue. If you can help in any way, please drop-off donations here at the Metropolitan Cathedral, or for more information, visit www.hopefoodbank.org.uk
