SAMM is a national charity supporting families bereaved by murder and manslaughter.
This annual service is organised by SAMM Merseyside and is intended for families and individuals who have suffered a traumatic loss to come together to remember loved ones with dignity and respect.
A central focus of this service is the reading of the names of those being remembered along with the lighting of a candle in their memory. A Memorial Tree will be placed on the Altar on which families can place leaves with pictures and messages to their loved ones. Those attending are also invited to place a picture on the steps of the Altar.
This is a non-denominational service. All are welcome – people of all faiths and beliefs, those with no beliefs and those who may have lost their faith.
