We welcome the world-renowned Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra, as they present Sir James MacMillan CBE’s Gloria. Undoubtedly the most high-profile composer of religious music in the country today, MacMillan originally wrote Gloria to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the consecration of the new cathedral in Coventry.
Written specifically for a leading tenor soloist, Ian Bostridge CBE performed in that first performance, and both will appear at this special concert to celebrate our own Jubilee. The Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Choir, joined by the choirs of Liverpool Metropolitan Cathedral will surely raise the roof with an evening that promises to be glorious.
Tickets priced at £25, available from liverpoolphil.com
