For the second of our Lenten Reflections, we welcome Paul O’Brien, who will be talking about his vital role co-coordinating the Micah Liverpool Volunteer Programme and Food Bank.
This Programme works with Liverpool City Region residents who have been unemployed long-term. They are supported over 10 weeks to improve their job searching skills, confidence and readiness for work. Through volunteer experience, the aim is to build their morale and self-esteem.
Paul also runs the Micah Liverpool Emergency Food Aid which operates two pantries delivering emergency food aid every week.
Paul has over 12 years of experience working in advice, guidance and employability. His knowledge and experience were crucial in developing the Micah Liverpool Volunteer Programme and Food Bank and this talk will give a fascinating insight into the valuable work carried out by both initiatives.
All are welcome to attend and entrance is free of charge.
