Informal Concert: Unlimited Voices

Saturday 12th August 2017, 4.00pm - 5.00pm

We are proud to warmly welcome Unlimited Voices as they present an informal Summer Concert.

The Unlimited Voices Choir has existed since its original inception as the Northern Music and Theatre Company in 1997, and is made up of amateur singers from around the UK coming together to rehearse and perform in a wide variety of locations across the UK and further afield.

Originally formed to sing mainly musical theatre repertoire, the choir has since diversified and has performed music in many different styles, from rock and pop, to classical and a wide variety of sacred music.  As well as performing at many large venues around the UK, including locally at Liverpool Philharmonic Hall and indeed here in the Cathedral in the past, various members of the choir have toured abroad, including trips to Italy, France, Austria, the United States and Spain.

Particular highlights have included taking a choir of almost 300 singers to sing mass at St Peter’s Basilica, Vatican City, and performing at St Paul’s chapel at Ground Zero in New York as part of a trip to America to sing in the Disney Candlelight processional.  The choir has recently returned from a trip to Northern Ireland, and in the future has a short tour in Scotland planned, along with trips to Iceland, Spain, Norfolk and the Isle of Man.

Entrance to the performance is free and no tickets are required.
