This week the Cathedral welcomes Daniel Mansfield, who takes up the role of Organ Scholar.
Daniel began his training as a chorister at St Mary’s, West Derby, later becoming Head Chorister under the direction of Peter Miller. He started organ studies at school, and in 2012 moved to Holy Trinity, Southport as Organ Scholar, continuing studies with Ian Wells. From 2014-2017 he was Organ Scholar at Liverpool Cathedral, studying with Professor Ian Tracey. During this time, he was also Organist of St Margaret of Antioch, Toxteth.
Currently in his second year of studying for a degree in Music at Liverpool Hope University, Daniel is also director of the St Margaret’s Singers, a choir which he founded whilst organist of St Margaret’s.
