On Friday 14th July the Cathedral was honoured with a Corporate Award from Liverpool John Moores University in recognition of its ‘outstanding contribution to faith and community in Liverpool’.
Canon Anthony O’Brien accepted the award from Professor Nigel Weatherill, Vice-Chancellor and Chief Executive of Liverpool John Moores University.
Monsignor Cookson and Bishop Malone, both former Administrators, attended the service along with members of staff from Cathedral House, representing almost 35 years of Cathedral administration and life.
